WAGS PRIVACY POLICY

WAGS app is free to use worldwide. Users are not to interfere with our Services or try to access them using methods other than the interface and the instructions that we provide. We may suspect or stop providing our Services to you if you do not comply with our terms and policies or if we are investigating suspected misconduct.

Using our Services does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights in our Services or the content you access. You may not use content from our Services unless you obtain permissions from its owner. You are not to remove or use any branding or logos in our Services. Do not remove, obscure or alter any legal notices displayed in or along with our Services.

WAGS does not claim the ownership of any data or submission generated by you. By using WAGS to gather tree data, you grant WAGS and its service providers a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, create derivatives from, display, distribute your data submissions to project owners, researchers, or the public who might be interested in your data. When your submission is selected by project owners or researchers or any other relevant parties for use, you will be issued a proof of work and rewarded with contribution tokens of the corresponding projects, and any subsequent revenue earned by this project will be shared with you through the contribution tokens.

Except with respect to your content, you may not: use, capture, reproduce, modify, adapt, create derivatives works from, publicly perform or display, distribute, make, assign, pledge, transfer any other data or services. You also may not: reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile or translate, or otherwise attempt to derive source code, architectural framework or data records of any software within or associated with the services, frame or utilize any framing technique to enclose any content, access the Services for the purpose of developing, marketing, selling or distributing any produce or service that competes with or includes features substantially similar to the service or any product or Services offered by WAGS. You may not: rent, lease, lend or sell, or sublicense or otherwise provide access to the Services as part of the service bureau or similar fee-for-service purposes. 

WAGS shall collect your data (especially personal data) in order to confirm the integrity of your submissions. Unless permitted by applicable laws, we will not collect, use or disclose your personal data without your/your authorized representative’s voluntary consent in writing or via features of Online Channels that we set up. We will limit our collection, use and disclosure of your personal data to what is adequate and relevant to the purposes for which they are needed, stated in this Privacy Policy and to which you/your authorized representative have/has consented.

Other than the purposes as follows: (i) performing our statutory functions and administering our activities; (ii) communicating with you, our project owners, etc; (iii) updating your personal and contact information; (iv) performing obligations in the course of or in connection with our provision of the services requested by you; (v) verifying your identity; (vi) responding to, handling, and processing queries, requests, applications, complaints, and feedback from you; (vii) complying with any applicable laws, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines, or rules, or to assist in law enforcement and investigations conducted by any governmental and/or regulatory authority; (viii) statistical, analysis, planning and reporting; and (ix) any other purposes for which you have provided the information, we also may collect and disclose your data/ information to (a) personal data processor processing data on behalf of us via a contract or agreement with us and in accordance with the purposes consented by you; (b) project owners, researchers, or the public who might be interested in your data. Please note that all information you submitted will be visible to project owners only if you choose to join a project. Project owners make reports based on the data you submitted, and hence project owners are responsible for verifying the integrity of your submissions. Metadata we collect from your devices such as location, user information is used for the sole purpose of assisting project owners that your submission is trustworthy and high quality. 

WAGS accesses your local storage to store your data in offline mode, ensuring that your data is not lost. WAGS also collects logs in order to troubleshoot our Services provided to you.

The types of personal data we may obtain include:

• Contact information (such as name, phone and fax number, email and postal address) for you or for others.

• Information used to create your online account (such as username, password and security question and answer)

• Biographical and demographic information (such as date of birth, age, gender, job title/position, marital status and dependent, spousal and other family information)

• Location data (such as data derived from your IP address, country and zip code) and the precise geolocation of your mobile device where we have provided notice and choice, as appropriate

• Audio, electronic, or visual information

• Contact information you provide about friends or other people you would like us to contact

• Inferences about you, including about your preferences

• Clickstream data and other information about your online activities (such as information about your devices, browsing actions and usage patterns), including across the Online Channels and third-party websites, that we obtain through the use of cookies, web beacons and similar technologies

• Other personal information contained in content you submit to us.

Where your use of the Services is concerned, you acknowledge and accept that certain functions, when activated or used by you, will operate to send or display information about yourself, including but not limited to, your personal data to certain third parties, and you agree to the sharing of such information with these third parties. You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be held responsible or accountable for any loss, injury or damage sustained by you for sharing the aforesaid information arising out of your activation or use of such features on the Services.

You may withdraw your consent to our continued use and disclosure of your personal data or seek access to your personal data (to a reasonable extent and as permitted by applicable laws) at any time for any or all of the purposes listed above by submitting your request in writing or via email to us at the contact details provided below.

Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that depending on the nature and scope of your request, we may not continue providing our Services to you and we shall, in such circumstances, notify you before completing the processing of your request. Should you decide to cancel your withdrawal of consent, please inform us in writing in the above manner.

Upon receipt of your written request to withdraw your consent, we may require reasonable time (depending on the complexity of the request and its impact on our relationship with you) for your request to be processed and for us to notify you of the consequences of us acceding to the same, including any legal consequences which may affect your rights and liabilities to us. 

Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose personal data where such collection, use and disclosure without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.
